Equine Massage

Massage therapy is the manipulation of the soft tissues in the body, including muscle groups, to promote relaxation, stimulation, drainage of excess body fluid, and to relieve muscle spasms and stress points.
Equine massage offers both the performance horse and the leisure horse a chance to unwind and relax, both physically and mentally.

Massage therapy can:

- Calm nervous or anxious horses, by making them feel comfortable.

- 'Wake up' lazy horses by stimulating muscle groups and nerve endings.

- Strengthen muscle tone.

- Stimulate nervous function.

- Improve performance, including jump technique, due to increased suppleness flexibility and nerve supply to the muscle.

Due to the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and the Veterinary Surgery (Exemptions) Order of 1962, treatment cannot be administered if veterinary permission has not been obtained.  Rachael works along side veterinary practices to achieve the most effective treatment for your horse.
